Holistic personal training is for those who wish to establish long term health and well-being and are interested in learning and understanding the connection between the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the human being.

Humans are multifaceted and therefore holistic in nature. Our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects are all interconnected and influence one another. If one aspect is compromised all the others will be affected. For example, if a person is suffering from digestive disorders ( which very often can be a result of chronic stress) then vital nutrients can not be properly absorbed and utilised within the body. The nervous and hormonal systems will be suffering from the nutritional deficiency causing physical, mental and emotional imbalances such as pain, anger, anxiety and depression leaving the person unable to deal with day to day life. Therefore Sacred Space Holistics helps the client to regain harmony and balance by taking all the above aspects into consideration and rather than just addressing symptoms.

Martin offers one to one, tailored and specialised exercise programmes that will help you to not only build a strong and aesthetic physique, but also teach you how to listen to your own body and understand its unique language. This understanding is the foundation for a successful exercise program and is key in achieving long term health and well-being. After your initial consultation and assessment your journey to a healthier and happier life begins! Sessions will include Neurokinetic Therapy® to re-program incorrect movement pattern stored in the brain (nervous system) accompanied by carefully selected physical exercises to re-establish proper musculoskeletal function and posture before engaging in more vigorous exercises routines. Individuals that are suffering from high level of stress such as business owners, police and military personnel, nurses, mothers etc., will also be able to benefit form Sound Therapy as part of their holistic exercise program. This non invasive form of healing has an exceptional reputation in addressing stress induced symptoms such as burnout syndrome, insomnia, muscle spasms, high blood pressure, irritable bowl syndrome, PTSD, anxiety, head and muscle aches. Vitality is restored through the application of soothing and relaxing sounds that harmonise the sympathetic and parasympathetic branch of our autonomic nervous system. Sound Therapy also works particularly well for individuals that are preparing for or recovering form high intensity events such as marathons, triathlons and weight lifting competitions, speeding up the recovery process and calming down the mind before the big day.

I have had the pleasure of training with Martin twice a week for the whole of 2016 and 2017. Our main focus was on exercises involving improving posture, alignment and balance, in addition to general conditioning. As a result of his focused attention there was a marked improvement in these three specific areas, as well as general fitness levels.

Martin is an excellent trainer with a keen interest in all aspects of health and the human body. He pays great attention to detail and successfully implements a highly personalised training routine. He also plans every session carefully, uses a variety of equipment and there is very little repetition, which keeps sessions interesting. During the sessions all his attention is on the trainee, which promotes focused effort.

In addition he is extremely punctual and reliable and pleasant to spend time with. I would recommend him unreservedly to anyone wanting a thoughtful, dedicated trainer.
